All of us have the ability to be creative. Those who are disorganised often use the excuse that any form of discipline or structure will inhibit their creativity.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Thinking creatively is achieved best when your mind is free of mental clutter; your to-do list, calls to make, people to follow up with (none of which are written down).
Use a diary (paper or electronic) to record your commitments (exercise, meeting, training and work rosters) and keep notes of non-time constrained items (things to buy, books to read, household jobs). Use the rest of the time to unleash your creative thinking. Oh, be sure to make notes on these thoughts.
